Nail Colour of the month: Essie - Raspberry

This is a slightly new concept but let me know what you think: Nail colour of the month! It might work out, it might not, but we're just gonna roll with it for now. This month's colour is 'Raspberry' by Essie!

I've started to get my nail game back up after having them short and unpainted for the majority of the summer, I'm now back to acrylics (woop!) I decided to go for a colour that I wouldn't usually pick. I'm very black/white/grey/nude aka pretty boring when it comes to nails (and my winter wardrobe) and rarely ever go for the brighter colours, so I thought this month I'd make a change!

This beautiful deep fushia colour is 'Raspberry' by Essie. I've tried a few Essie polishes before in my time and I've found that even when applied by my regularly haphazard self, comparative to most other drugstore polishes, they rarely ever chip! This time I got them painted at the salon and managed to smudge two nails before I even made it through my door (whoops!) Luckily it's not too noticeable! I love this colour especially as in dimly lit light it gives the illusion of being red, whilst in brighter light it's a beautiful rich dark pink!

Essie's polishes are a little more expensive than your average drugstore nail paint, but in my opinion - well worth it!  I think this colour is the perfect Autumn to Winter transition shade and goes perfectly with my entire A/W wardrobe!

What do you think of this shade? Have you tried an Essie polish before? If so do you have a favourite? Let me know in the comments below!
